In the midst of the Pandemic, the price of BItcoin took a downturn. March started with a Bitcoin price at $8,534 and rose for a few days after it started to drop significantly. The month ended at a price of $6,405 which is a 24.9% decrease when compared to the beginning of the month.
The number of new machines continued to grow at a relatively stable rate, unlike the price of Bitcoin.

General Bytes took back the top spot on the manufacturers list with 113 new machines (5.2% increase). BitAccess was second with 100 new installations (18.8% increase) followed by Genesis Coin with 95 new machines (4% increase).

On the Operators list in March CoinCloud was first with 101 new installations (20.3% increase). CoinFlip Bitcoin ATMs and RockItCoin followed by with 58 (12% increase) and 22 (7.6% increase) machines respectively.
We are glad to mention that PureCoin, a US-based Operator, installed its first 4 machines in Connecticut and New Jersey.

North America continues to dominate with the United States installing 355 machines (7.3% increase), followed by Canada with 12 new installations (1.7% increase). The Netherlands was in third place with 5 new machines (11.9% increase).
Sadly, the number of machines in Austria continues to drop. In march 11 machines were removed which was a 7.7% decrease.

The percentage of Bitcoin ATM’s supporting any other cryptocurrencies than Bitcoin increased slightly and is now at 70%. Ether was the second most added coin in March with 328 additions (7.72% increase) followed by Litecoin with 260 additions (5.47% increase) and Bitcoin Cash with 165 additions (7.01% increase).
Summary
The price of Bitcoin experienced a significant decrease in March. General Bytes and BitAcces were the most installed machine brands. The United States is still the dominant country when it comes to Bitcoin ATM adoption. Ether was again the most adopted coin besides Bitcoin.
